1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RateMyDog, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Use of the Platform
RateMyDog is a community platform for sharing, rating, and discovering dog photos, videos, and information. You agree to use the platform lawfully and in line with our Community Guidelines. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. User-Submitted Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, videos, descriptions, ratings). By submitting content, you grant RateMyDog a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use that content within the platform. You confirm you have the rights to share any content you upload and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You must not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that depicts animal cruelty. Spam, impersonation, automated abuse, and attempts to manipulate ratings are strictly prohibited. Violating these rules may result in content removal or account restriction.
5. Ratings & Moderation
Ratings are subjective and provided for entertainment only. RateMyDog reviews submitted content before it goes live and reserves the right to remove or reject any content, or restrict accounts, at its discretion to protect the community.
6. Intellectual Property
The RateMyDog name, logo, design, and original platform content are owned by RateMyDog. Breed information and other reference content are provided for general informational purposes. Respect the intellectual property of others when submitting content.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
RateMyDog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of breed information, ratings, or user-submitted content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RateMyDog is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Privacy Policy
Information We Collect
When you create an account we store your name and email address. We also collect content you submit (photos, videos, ratings, comments) and basic analytics such as page views, browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
